Fedweb Steering Committee

Our users have spoken and we have listened. We are excited to announce the formation of a formal steering committee made up of Fedweb users who will work closely with us to determine future development priorities of Fedweb and help ensure total quality control. This group will represent all federation city sizes and admin skill levels. It will also include marketing, IT and campaign interests. We will be posting the online application process soon and hope to have the committee up and running by summer 2008.

Upgraded Calendar is Here!

We are very excited to announce the calendar upgrade, continuing our committment to make Fedweb as flexible and feature rich as possible. Features in this upgrade include, but are not limited to, tabbed calendar navigation, category-filtered calendars, alternate calendar landing pages, an extra column on the calendar page, and show/hide public suggest an event and email signup forms. The new features primarily improve the public side. They make finding calendar events on the public side simple while at the same time giving Fedweb admins more control over how information is delivered to the public.

E-Cards for E-Philanthropy

The E-card upgrade from last year has enabled users to do some pretty cool stuff with tribute gifts. Not only can Flash animations be used as e-cards, but they can be configured to be customized and personalized for each recipient. For example, take a look at the sample page for the Honor Your Mother tribute card that was developed by the JFNA team.

Admin Conference 2008

Over 60 admins from around North America recently joined the UJCweb team in NYC for our annual conference. There were expert presentations on advanced web design, web 2.0, Webtrends and best practices from local users. Also, representatives from our technical partner, Flightpath, were on hand to showcase new development and handle informal Q&A. We also announced the formation of a steering committee made up of admins to empower the user base to have a real voice in shaping the future of UJCweb.

Fedweb Like You've Never Seen it Before

We are proud to launch this site not only to highlight the latest and greatest features recently built into Fedweb (blogs, flash video, RSS, microsites, etc), but also as an example of how radically different and creative a user can be in customizing the look and feel of a Fedweb site. The system wide upgrade last spring, called v3, enabled complete CSS design control at the global, section and page level. We hope this site will inspire users to break the mold and aspire to new web interfaces that are true visual representations of their brand.
